At United Way, Advocacy Takes Many Forms.

  • Our board of directors, staff, and volunteers advocate for those in need by addressing and responding to identified community needs.
  • Individuals and businesses throughout the community contribute generously during United Way campaign drives in order to help United Way and its partners address community needs.
  • Agency staff and volunteers advocate for United Way by offering their time, talent, and resources.

Here's what our donors have to say about us:
United Way helps many needed organizations and it is good to see my money going to help people in my community.

Money stays in the local community. Priorities are set by local community leaders who know the needs. Agencies receiving donations are required to operate according to United Way guidelines thus assuring the money will be spent where it is needed most.

Funds donated to United Way are kept and utilized in the local area with very low administrative costs. The United Way organization also does an excellent job of screening and qualifying organizations that receive donated funds.

We believe in community and United Way helps us participate in making it a great place to live.

Payroll deduction makes it easy to give. Like the concept of many different nonprofits benefiting from donation.
