Day of Caring.

Since 1997, United Way of Becker County has mobilized student and staff volunteers from three school districts along with volunteers from workplaces, clubs, and organizations for a single day each year to assist senior and disabled citizens with yard and garden cleanup, window washing, and outside tasks. These efforts enable seniors and the disabled to stay in their homes longer. Volunteers also assist the city and nonprofits with projects that give a better quality of life for all citizens in Becker County. Past projects include facility improvement, roadside cleanup, and park improvement.

In 2022, Day of Caring activated 115 community sponsors and motivated 2000 volunteers to complete 217 projects by investing 8000 volunteer hours valued at more than $228,320!

If you have a project that you'd like our Day of Caring committee to consider for 2023, please complete the Day of Caring project request form and return it to United Way of Becker County before April 20.
